The circle outside the fist stands for unity of Taekwondo family of the world. The fist symbolizes the power and energy of Taekwondo.The colors and shapes used on the fist are derived from "Taegeuk" pattern that reminds one strongly of the images of Korea, the birth country of Taekwondo. Overall, it describes the vigor of Taekwondo gushing out of Chuncheon, a newly emerging Taekwondo Mecca.
 
"Ayap" is designed with the intent to express the friendship between the world Taekwondo family participating in the 6th Chuncheon Open, which is taking place in the ideal place for the Taekwondo Park, Chuncheon, in the beginning year of the 21st century. By the friendship shared in this Taekwondo festival, all Taekwondo players of the world will become one and contribute to the growth of Taekwondo. The design of Its head is based on the shape of a water drop, which is closely associated with the clean images of a lakeside city.The body represents a watercourse and the legs and arms symbolize the energy stretching out from the
watercourse.
